FAQs

How do I sign up for a class?

Registration is easy! Simply visit our Schedule page, find the class you’d like to take, and click Book. You will be guided to our online scheduling system, MindBody, where you can register and pay for class. If you wish to find out more about our passes and packages, visit our Rates page.

How do I prepare for class?   

Drink plenty of water throughout the day to keep your body well hydrated. We recommend that you refrain from eating large meals up to two hours before the class. Wear comfortable and light clothing that isn't too flowy or loose so that you can move comfortably without additional fabric obstructing your movement. 

How do I participate in an Online class?

Register: Register in Mindbody at least 30 minutes before the class begins in order to assure you receive the link to connect. If you register less than 30 minutes before the class, we cannot guarantee that you will receive the information you need to login to the class in time to participate.

Connect: 30 minutes prior to the start of class, you will receive an email with a link register in Zoom. At least 5 minutes before class starts, click on the "Click Here to Join" link in this email. You will then be placed in a Waiting Room until the teacher lets you in. (NOTE: The link is unique to you. Please do not share it with others. If you are two or more practicing together and viewing the class from one device, do the right thing. Every student must register and pay for the class in Mindbody.)

Audio/Visual: Upon joining the class, your audio and video will be automatically off. However, we'd love to see your beautiful faces, so feel free to turn on your audio and video when you enter! Once class starts, the teacher will mute all students.

How many times per week is is recommended to practice yoga?

To feel the magic of the deeply transformational benefits of a regular yoga practice, we recommend that you bring your radiant self to the yoga mat at least three to four times per week. That being said, listen to your body, listen to what it needs, feel what works best for you. Your yoga practice and its frequency will be as individual and unique as you are! 

I'm a beginner. May I participate in your classes? 

Absolutely, we welcome beginners! Bring an open attitude and willingness to dive into an abyss of something completely new to challenge your familiar comfort zone. We kindly suggest that you place your yoga mat in the back of the studio to be able to observe others at moments that may be a little unfamiliar and please rest at any moment your body is asking you to do so. You may feel soreness and even fatigue after the first few classes - that is absolutely normal. Your whole being is learning new skills, engaging new muscles and removing toxins held in your tissues. Be patient. Be kind to yourself. Be willing to give yourself time to transform.

What facilities are available at the studio?

Zem offers fully equipped women's and men's changing rooms with showers and hair dryers.  We also offer yoga mats, skidless mat towels and shower towels available to rent. 

May I store my mat at the studio?

Unfortunately, we do not have adequate space to store yoga mats at the studio. If you cannot bring your own mat, you are welcome to rent a mat for €2.
