Elena Brower Workshops

Join international yoga teacher Elena Brower for a weekend of workshops at Zem. Find freedom and calm in your body through the practice of meditation, yoga asana and rest.

Saturday July 25th, Morning Practice

Freedom Redefined

What if freedom is the practice of being with whatever it is, to respond appropriately and with compassion? In this practice, moving from asana to meditation, you'll touch in with your own deepest sense of freedom, in body, heart, mind and practice. Expect a sequence of standing postures and gentle to moderate backbends leading us toward a vibrant meditation and rest.

Sunday July 26th, Afternoon Practice

The Chemistry of Calm

"We may dread practice, but we value the life that comes out of it." -Charlotte Joko Beck

In this Sunday afternoon practice, we'll explore the way we see ourselves, our circumstances and our struggles in order to arrive at moments of truce, of calming chemistry within ourselves, landing in our capacity for clear seeing that can only come through practice.  From twists to hip openers to restful Yin, we'll end with meditation and rest to reset your system.
