Friday, July 4th: Rel(ease) Your Hips
This master class will include a detailed breakdown of the individual actions you need to perform most hip opening poses safely.
Learn how to incorporate mobility drills to help you progress quickly, both by expanding your range of motion and learning to control said range of motion.
We will use side split as a reference posture, as we explore and play with standing and arm balancing poses that involve opening our hips.
Saturday, July 5th: Back Bends and Heart Openers
In this session we will focus on your spine and what it needs in order to achieve pain- and discomfort-free back bends.
Learn how to release and manipulate the hips and shoulders (four corners of our temple), and how to apply the strength of our extremities (arms and legs) to open our hearts more freely.
Sunday, July 6th: Handstands 101
Learn to educate and train your body to be able to maintain a “hollow” position while being upside down! By doing so you will bypass most of the balancing problems we experience while attempting a handstand.
We'll cover joint prep and strengthening for your wrists, shoulders, spine and pelvis, integrated in a simple way to help you achieve your first handstand, and/or continue to improve you handstand practice, and develop it on your own.
