While this time still challenges us to adapt and adjust in ways we can't predict or control, the need for self-care, contact with earth, and connection with others is more critical than ever. Join Amity and Laura for our third annual retreat at the beautiful Locanda della Quercia Calante near Orvieto. Surrounded by rolling hills and nature, the Locanda is a charming agriturismo with a spacious outdoor yoga shala and all the mats, bolsters, belts, blocks and blankets you need for a long weekend of yoga and restoration. The Locanda also features an energizing water pool, holistic spa center, and an outstanding restaurant serving locally grown, vegetarian cuisine. Single, Double, Triple and Quadruple occupancy rooms are available, and each EMF-free room includes its own private bath and outdoor space to relax and enjoy the beautiful setting of the Locanda.

ABOUT THE TEACHERS

Amity Neumeister // Owner of Zem Yoga Studio Roma & RYT 200 Certified Vinyasa Yoga Teacher 

Amity has been a student and practitioner of yoga since 2006. She offers a practice inspired by her vinyasa, hatha and Baptiste training, and creates a supportive environment with artful, intuitive and intelligent sequencing. She completed her first 200-hour teacher training at Haute Yoga Queen Anne in Seattle, Washington, USA in 2012 and another 200-hour training with Africa Yoga Project in Nairobi, Kenya in 2013. In 2014, she completed Next Generation Yoga’s teacher trainings for 2 – 7 year olds and 7 – 13 year olds, as well as Yoga Behind Bars teacher training for incarcerated men, women and youth. She is a registered member of Yoga Alliance at the 200 hour level.

Laura Talafer // RYT 200 Certified Yoga Teacher 

Laura Talafer is certified in Vinyasa, Rocket and Hatha Yoga. Her classes include intelligent sequencing with a focus on alignment and room to grow. Her unique physical trait has helped guide her to an all-inclusive and welcoming teaching style. She believes that through yoga, you can tap into your highest physical, spiritual and mental capacity.

SLOW FLOW & DEEP RELAXATION YOGA RETREAT SEPTEMBER 9 - 12, 2021

Make time to ground your body, quiet your mind, and deeply restore the Self. 

Join Amity and Lavinia for a late summer grounding and deeply restoring retreat at the beautiful Locanda della Quercia Calante near Orvieto. You will feel completely re-centered, relaxed and revitalized after this long weekend together!

This mindfulness retreat includes Grounding Slow Flow Yoga, Deep Relaxation and Meditation classes. Our sessions will incorporate yoga practices such as grounding movement, purifying breathing techniques, chanting and guided meditations, designed to help us process the pandemic and prepare our bodies and minds for the changing season. At this time of great unknown there is nothing more important than slowing down and giving the body, mind and soul time to assimilate change and reflect, while experiencing deep rest and release.

The retreat will take place at the Locanda della Quercia Calante near Orvieto, Italy only 100 minutes from Rome. Lavinia Nannini // RYT 200 Certified Yoga Teacher 

Lavinia Nannini has been practicing yoga internationally for fifteen years. She is a certified YogaWorks and Jivamukti teacher and holds a Restorative Yoga certificate from renowned teacher Jillian Pransky, the director of Restorative Therapeutic Yoga teacher trainings at YogaWorks in NYC. She plunged into the path of yoga through Jivamukti Yoga in Rome, Italy. Lavinia’s later trips to India and numerous workshop and retreat experiences have augmented her passion for well-rounded, holistic and spiritual classes that engage the soul, mind and body.

She is a passionate teacher whose aim is to deepen her students’ yoga practice through lively, mindful and engaging classes that merge all aspects of Yoga from meditation, pranayama and asana sequencing to chanting and yoga philosophy. Her Restorative classes focus on the breath, deep restoration, and healing. Her teaching aspires to spread love and light while promoting peaceful change in the world.
